Biography

Although she dreamed of acting from an early age, Caroline first began her education as a classical singer, studying at such institutions as Vincent D’Indy Music School and the University of Montreal Music Faculty. Upon completing training in 2007, she immediately sought out opportunities in theatre, and shortly thereafter got her first lead stage role as a bloodthirsty Mexican cartel leader in the Montreal Fringe production Fidel (2009). She went on to act in stage productions of all kinds, in both English and French. Some of her favorite experiences were playing the high strung female version of Prince John in Tali Brady’s gender swapped Robin Hood Redux, in 2010, or playing the tragic if somewhat simple Lulu in MTM’s 2013 production of Pinter’s The Birthday Party.

In May 2014, she combined her love of acting, songwriting and choreography, by producing, directing and performing in a devised piece, Le Premier Printemps, which traced the Greek myth of Persephone and Hades through music, dance, poetry and physical theatre. She went on to write and produce her second piece, Origin, a soulful Blues opera set in the Garden of Eden, which combined her own original music with a physical theatre approach. It was presented as at the 2016 Montreal Fringe to favorable reviews.

Alongside her love of the stage, Caroline has also acted in television series such as Investigation Discovery’s Fatal Vows and Crackle’s The Art of More, as well as in several short and feature films. One of her notable performances was the strong yet sorrowful Anne, in the Chicago based independent feature: The Glass House. A passionate storyteller, Caroline has written and co-directed a number of short films and went on to be one of the key founders of Bright Young Things Productions, for which she has directed three shorts, Poison (2013), Good Riddance, which was nominated for best short film in the 2015 Montreal ACTRA short film festival, and Where You Are, which is currently in the process of distribution.

Caroline resides in Montreal where she works as an actor, singer and director. She is represented by Sandy Martinez.
