Caroline Gauthier was first trained as a singer. She had her first church solo at the age of 8 and then spent many years taking private lessons. She later studied Voice at Vincent d’Indy Music School and then Musicology at the University of Montreal Music Faculty. Today, she continues to sing as a soloist for ensembles and she sometimes hosts private recitals as seen in the videos below. She considers working with the voice and cultivating a curiosity about various techniques a central aspect of her artistic practice.
In addition to teaching singing and being active in vocal ensembles, Caroline is also an avid songwriter. She hopes to start recording her original songs in the coming year.
